ShopClues launches online gym store to ensure its customers are fighting fit

The online festive sales, is drawing to a close and it will be interesting to see if online marketplace ShopClues has met its festive target of Rs. 1,600 crore. During the festive sales the ecommerce marketplace launched a talent hunt competition to reward innovative sellers and also an online sellers club to create best practice amongst its legion of merchants. ShopClues even rolled out a chat facility to bring sellers and customers closer together for a seamless shopping experience.

Its latest initiative is just what the doctor ordered, as ShopClues has launched a fitness shop on its platform. It offers a wide array of affordable gym equipment and health products, for its customers. This comes at an ideal time as most people are making new years resolution to get back into shape.

The products available on the portal include:

  • Weights (dumb bells, barbells, wrist & ankle weights)
  • Health Food (pre-workout supplements, Whey protein, essential vitamins, slimming teas)
  • Athletic equipment (gym balls, skipping ropes, stationery cycles, treadmills)

“There is a palpable rise in India in the number of people who are conscious about their health and are extremely focused on fitness. It’s however, not always easy to find good quality equipment, supplements and accessories in the country. To plug this gap, we launched the fitness store that makes being committed to one’s wellness easier and more affordable to the mass audience especially catering to tier 2 and 3 markets,” said Nitin Kochhar, VP-Categories, ShopClues.
