Snapdeal to pick up products on Sundays too!

Snapdeal seems to be gearing up to race to the top by focusing on faster delivery to customers. Following Japanese group SoftBank’s investment, it has been on an aggressive expansion spree and recently extended its platform for agriculture-related products, to tap into the farmer customer segment, and grocery items to tap into the potential online grocery segment.

In a recent email to sellers, Snapdeal thanked them for their support in achieving faster delivery of products to customers. To strengthen this initiative, it will now be fully operational on Sundays too to pick up products from sellers.

Also, once on board with this initiative, orders would have to be cleared within three days and would be cancelled automatically if not cleared within the fourth day.

While it sounds like a good plan of action to impress customers, we cannot overlook the recent spate of delivery blunders from Snapdeal and the growing restlessness amongst customers, social media a proof to that. Speeding up deliveries is any day good to pacify customers, but can Snapdeal ensure goof-ups will become zero? We can’t help wondering!
