Grab has a fleet of bike riders and four-wheeler vehicles to make local and intracity deliveries. It was launched in 2013 and serves the sectors such as food, grocery, retail, pharmacy, document, and custom services.
With the help of Open Network for Digital Commerce, Grab.in would be able to get more customers and expand its services to new cities. He also said that they are happy to be a part of this consortium as it will help them to grow their business.
ONDC has started a pilot in six cities with the categories such as grocery and small bakery items, and it has plans to expand it to other categories such as apparel, health, and wellness products. E-commerce companies have struggled to get customers in tier 2 and 3 cities. The ONDC will help these startups to reach new customers in these cities.
Sanghvi mentioned that their pilot project with ONDC is in the nascent stage, and they are looking forward to growing their business with the help of this consortium for smooth and efficient delivery services to their clients.
Their current focus is integration and customer satisfaction. With the help of Open Network for Digital Commerce, they are expecting to achieve their goals. This ONDC platform is targeting to go live in 100 cities by the end of August.
