Snapdeal prompts 10,000 online sellers to achieve Rs 1 crore in 2016


Online marketplace Snapdeal which has a gross merchandise value of $4.5 billion is ambitiously attempting to help 10,000 of its sellers achieve Rs. 1 Crore in business each, during 2016. Snapdeal co-founder and CEO Kunal Bahl wrote a motivating letter to its 200,000 odd online sellers that would definitely have made a proportion of sellers wake up from their slumber.
“In 2016, our goal is to ensure that we have 10,000 sellers each doing business of Rs.1 crore or more through Snapdeal. We are committed to extending all possible support to help our sellers achieve this target. We have recently launched multiple programmes to assist you and strengthen your online business with Snapdeal,” stated Bahl, in the letter.

“Today, it gives me immense pride to share that we have more than two lakh sellers actively using our platform to profitably grow their business. In 2015, hundreds of sellers each sold merchandise worth more than Rs.10 crore through Snapdeal,” added Bahl.
