Snapdeal has been busy over the last 12 months, bending over backwards to find ways of improving your online seller experience. Whether it was trying to help financially with the release of ‘Capital Assist’ loans, the re-launch of Shopo app or adding the Professional services panel. Even initiatives aimed at the customer seem to have had a knock on effect for you, such as SnapSearch, Snaptrends, Snap-Lite and Janus. We at IOS, say Kudos.
Snapdeal has now brought to the table an unbelievable configuration of seller benefits, under a new platform called ‘Sherpalo’. The ambitious online marketplace aims to onboard 1 million micro, small and medium enterprises on its portal in the next 36 months, and firmly believes that the introduction of Sherpalo at this stage is a giant step in the right direction.
“With over 2,00,000 sellers now using our marketplace to grow their business, our endeavour is to use technology to help them in becoming more successful and to scale their business effectively. The guiding principle behind introducing this easy and intuitive panel is our promise of ‘Online Business Made Easy’,” said Vishal Chadha, senior vice-president -Market Development, Snapdeal.
Sellers will be able to gain the following services from Sherpalo:
- Product listing
- Order and returns management
- Third-party services
- Capital assistance
- Help centre
“The new seller platform provides world class experience with complete visibility and better planning tools to enable our sellers to manage their businesses even better, leading to higher business growth, liquidity and profitability,” explained Chadha.
The Sherpalo seller panel, which bundles together all the services on one interface, is available on both app and web portals, which will make it extremely easy to navigate for sellers. Sellers will be able to simply click and add to their catalogue of products. Additionally, image classification feature and an algorithmic rating of image quality will enhance the portal.
The Sherpalo panel also allows sellers to:
- Access self-learning videos
- Generate performance reports
- Identify operational shortfalls
“We are excited to launch ‘Sherpalo’ for our sellers. Similar to the process we followed to refresh our customer interface earlier this year; we have mapped seller journeys on Snapdeal and tailored the interface to suit their needs effectively. We are confident that the new interface will make it extremely convenient for small and medium enterprises to grow their businesses on Snapdeal,” remarked Anand Chandrasekaran, chief produce officer, Snapdeal.
