Flipkart introduces Live Chat feature for sellers
In another effort to make the process of online selling more convenient, Flipkart has introduced the live chat feature for sellers on its platform. Called ‘Chat with us’, this unique feature will be available on your seller portal so that you can get in touch with the ecommerce giant in real time and get your concerns sorted faster, and probably instantly.
In an email informing the same, Flipkart has even mentioned ‘Why waste money for phone calls when you can chat with us for free?’

- NEFT IDs, reference numbers etc. can be copy pasted, which is easier than reading out over phone
- Existing issue or a new one can be addressed
- Attachments can be shared right away .
- This feature will be available from Monday-Friday, 10 am – 7 pm
How can an Indian Online Seller benefit?
In an earlier IOS article, we talked about how live chat can be used to enhance customer experience and how it’s an effective tool to address customer queries right away.
No doubt, the same applies for sellers as well. Compared to phone (when you have to wait to get connected and to spell out your problem with all the IDs and reference numbers) and emails (when you have to wait for a revert from the support team), live chat is a much more convenient option. Apart from saving on time, you can also save on the costs involved in making long duration phone calls.
