The biggest retail giant, Walmart, is now focusing on expanding its long-term relationships globally and has approached Indian manufacturers and sellers. The reason for the approach is to board the Indian Sellers and make the Indian companies grow in US and Canada by giving space in their marketplace so that now it’s your turn to know how to sell the products on Walmart and make better profits. This innovative idea was announced at the Global Seller Summit in Delhi on September 27th, 2022.

In the event, Walmart’s Vice President Michelle Mi said that by 2027, this initiative could make the Indian sellers outsource their exports worth $ 10 billion a year. More than 500 brands attended the event to witness this initiative that made the Indian platforms grow in overseas markets.

There are already more than 400 stores under Walmart in Canada, and with this idea, they can implement more and grows rapidly in the eCommerce market. When Walmart announced its e-commerce marketplace in India, it saw the potential of Indian sellers to provide the best products in categories like apparel, leather, personal care, and beauty products, and they have made this call.

The Vice president also mentioned how they improved global sourcing and focused on building long-term relationships with India. Walmart also stated that it is ready to invest in the tools and services needed for the Indian sellers to make them grow in the overseas market.
