CAIT Asks PM Modi to Set Up Ecommerce Regulator to Monitor Amazon & Flipkart

Amazon India was called for a ban over the alleged FDI rules for e-commerce violations. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had received written notice by the confederation of all India Traders (CAIT) to set up a regulatory body for the sector and issued a Press note for blocking The E-Commerce companies which include Flipkart and Amazon from violating the rules of FDI. the ministry department of Commerce had filed the press notes for the promotion of the industry and internal trade for a foreign regulation in the direct investment rule.
There was a demand by the CAIT which is an E-Commerce regulator to entitle Amazon’s privacy policy and Walmart who owned Flipkart over the FDI violations. With further associations, Prime Minister Narendra Modi issued a Press note for rules for The E-Commerce sector in blocking E-Commerce companies from dodging foreign direct Investments. it also comes in which time when the Indian government had recently revisited Amazon’s privacy policy with FDI policy.
The latest version of Press Note 2 which was released in 2018 previously had allowed 100% FDI in The E-Commerce sector with particularly being the Marketplace model, which had buried companies from their ownership over any inventory that had sold their Marketplace influencing the sale of goods directly or indirectly.
The letter from CAIT had damned Reuters Report dashboard few sellers who had accounted for more than 60% of Indian sales in Amazon. There was also a report about Amazon legal manoeuvers that had stepped aside in India's regulations by aiming at a discounting rate with limited FDIs. The report was written to the commerce minister, Piyush Goyal by calling the company for an investigation to monitor amazon, by Narayana Murthy. It was earlier stated by Goyal in February that The E-Commerce companies like Flipkart and Amazon work currently under investigation by the following complaints from small retailers and customers. The Other companies of e-commerce also stated that the service providers had enabled trade between the seller and the by not promoting their products are algorithms in giving preferential treatment to particular sellers.
In a recent report, there are allegations dealing with Amazon India’s strategy to buy small sellers where they had to push production by cutting short cloud tail and Appario when companies have indirectly staked. This body also asked the Modi government to ban Amazon from operating in the country. The head of Amazon Amit Agarwal claims in the report that Amazon was unsubstantiated with incomplete faculty. It was also added that the company is compliant with Indian laws and can continue with no fear.
Amazon and Flipkart go beyond primary targets and would be the main aim of any change in the FDI laws for the E-Commerce sector. It was also stated by Yogesh Baweja, who is the spokesman for the Ministry of Commerce and industry that the government had discussed with Amazon India, and amazon's privacy policy had been monitored with other changes to rule over FDI. Piyush Goyal who is the union commerce Minister is also a short trader that the stringent challenges have had made to the FDI policy of India for the E-Commerce sector.
