Amazon Joins Hands with BLS International to Expand India Footprint

BLS International has collaborated with the well-known e-commerce giant Amazon India to expand its presence in the country's urban, semi-urban, and rural areas. The association aimed at providing a boost for Amazon’s Indian business.

BLS International, a global name for the government and diplomatic missions service provider, has reportedly signed a multi-year deal with Amazon to provide its last-minute connectivity through its web of centers across the country.

“We are delighted to collaborate with Amazon in making the online shopping experience available to the people living in remote areas through our 10,000 centers in the country,” said Shikhar Aggarwal, Joint Managing Director, BLS International.

“This collaboration will help Amazon to penetrate their reach in tier II and tier III towns of the country, which has a huge consumer base,” He enthusiastically added. Apart from this collaboration, Amazon and other e-tailers also initiated offline activities to target the rural potential customers. According to the deal, BLS center operators will book the products on behalf of consumers from various products available on the Amazon website. Consumers can pay in cash for their purchases. BLS center operator will make the online payment on the portal, and then the consumers can avail their purchases from the BLS center once it is delivered there.

Reportedly, BLS International has a vast network of over 12,000 centers globally empowered by more than 15,000 employees. The company has already processed over 52 million applications to date globally.
