79% of customers happy with online shopping experience

Despite best efforts from big online marketplaces such as Flipkart, Snapdeal and Amazon to lure their respective customers away from discounts, there seems to be no such luck.

According to a questionnaire carried out by instaVanni, 63 % of 179 respondents said that they would not shop online if their were no discounts offered, compared to 37% who would.

Other findings from the sample survey:

What do you shop for most frequently online?

Electronics (37%)

Clothes (25%)

Groceries (9%)

Furniture (5%)

Others (23%)

The 3 main things that entice customers to shop online are:

1. Big discounts (42%)

2. More product variety (33%)

3. Shopping convenience (25%)

Incidentally, when 168 people were asked if they are happy with their online shopping experience, a massive 79% said yes, while only 21% said no, which gives a clear indicator that ecommerce is here to stay.
