Snapdeal upgrades panel; 5 Day, Rs. 5 Lakh policies implemented to maintain effective sellers

Ecommerce Marketplace, Snapdeal has announced two key changes to its Seller panel to improve the efficiency of it sellers. The first one is to check on Inactive sellers, while the second upgrade is related to inventory. Apart from ratings, these changes will incorporate the major criteria for eligibility for promotions. So Online Sellers take note!

Panel Usage

The new system will measure how often sellers are using their panel. Snapdeal will now list its sellers as inactive if they do not log on for 5 days in a row to either:

  • Add or change inventory
  • Update pricing & discounts

Inventory held by seller on the panel

In order to test the willingness of the seller to do business with Snapdeal, the online marketplace is now requesting that sellers keep a product inventory amounting to a minimum Rs. 5 Lakhs in value on the panel.

The formula is as follows:

Selling price x quantity =Total Inventory Value
