Flipkart ensures extra protection for Seller returns

Online Marketplace leader, Flipkart has introduced an extra verification check for RTO (courier) returns, which are worth more than Rs.2,000. This procedure will ensure returned goods reach back to the seller without any inconvenience, such as receiving broken goods or having the item fraudulently replaced with an undesirable one.
Flipkart will parcel products to be returned in an Ekart security bag. The outer packaging will act as an extra layer of protection. In October last year, Flipkart had started a similar initiative for returned goods worth RS. 5,000 or more, which is now reduced to Rs. 2,000 and this will facilitate sellers with lower ticket prices.
How it works:
- An Ekart employee will open the outer packaging
- An inspection is done to see if the product & inner packaging is secure
- The Ekart employee should be satisfied that the product has not been tampered with
- An Ekart security bag will replace the existing opened 2nd layer of packaging
- If the product is too big for the Ekart security bag, than it will be bubbled wrapped instead (Sellers take note!)
Flipkart will ensure sellers peace of mind, by filming the whole checking process with CCTV surveillance and take further accountability by photographing each stage. Flipkart has invested in this articulate verification process with the endeavour to ultimately reduce loss for sellers.
