Just Delivr, new e-grocer, to expand reach with hyperlocal model & more sellers onboard

Just Delivr, which connects local kirana stores to consumers through a mobile application, currently operates in four states which include Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana and Delhi.
Just Delivr supplies products in four main categories:
- Grocery
- Health and Beauty
- Kitchenware
- Pets
Technological advancements
Apart from delivering goods from kirana store to consumer, Just Delivr also specialises in creating Enterprise Resource Planning solutions for small merchant shops, which helps the seller to plan out its discount strategy, customer offerings and advertising campaigns.
“With the tremendous growth in the online grocery space and hyperlocal delivery services, we realized that smaller retailers and kirana shops, which are the backbone of Indian grocery segment, are getting marginalized. They need to empower themselves with technology in order to sustain,” said Amit Bharana, founder of the company.
Growing steadily
At the moment ecommerce is only a minuscule part of India’s $490 billion retail Industry, with food and grocery making up 69% of the pie and apparel accounting for 8%, according to India Brand Equity Foundation. However, things are slowly changing and companies such as Just Delivr with their hyper-local model are making slow inroads and are perfectly placed to take advantage.
