Mcommerce can be considered the younger brother of ecommerce. There has been a lot of development in the formative years of both, but a new phenomenon is slowly taking shape in India. Due to the emergence of relatively cheap smart phones making mobile access more readily available, mcommerce is slowly overtaking the computer as the mode of choice for accessing the internet. With the launch of numerous mobile wallets being introduced and all jostling for space in the market, they could be the real game changer.

Further testament to this mcommerce revolution is the online fashion marketplace Myntra which decided to go app-only. Very recently even India’s ecommerce leader Flipkart made similar noises.
