eBay to extend financial assistance to sellers through Capital Float

For a seller with working capital hassles, online selling certainly has an edge over offline selling. But a certain amount is required to keep the momentum. Once sales pick up, some sellers find it difficult to keep the cash flowing in at the required rate. Off late, online marketplaces have been making efforts to give financial assistance to sellers on their platforms.
The latest to lend a helping hand is eBay through tie-up with Capital Float, a digital financing platform. Online sellers across the country will be able to get collateral free financial help within three days from Capital Float for Rs 1,00,000 to Rs 1 crore.
“eBay India has been at the forefront of creating tools that have enabled business growth for its sellers, irrespective of their size… Our association with Capital Float is an effort to support our sellers by providing them financial assistance and help them ship more,” eBay India Director Seller Service and Technology Category Pankay Ukey said.
According to eBay, they want to provide their seller partners with enough capital to stay abreast in the competitive ecommerce market.
Sashank Rishyasringa, co-founder of Capital Float, said, “It has been only a few days since our alliance with eBay was formalised and we have already disbursed loans of close to Rs. 10 crores to sellers on eBay”.
