eBay announces changes in Shipping Price option

Pooja Vishant By Pooja Vishant June 29, 2020 1 min read

Currently, listings on eBay mention the item price and shipping price separately, which creates differences in the listing prices. Since the non-uniform prices could lead to inconvenience for the buyers, the ecommerce major has announced a corrective measure to make it easier for the buyer.

eBay has instructed sellers to change the listing prices of their items, which would be effective from 3rd August 2015. Instead of listing shipping price separately, sellers would have to include this also in their pricing so that only a consolidated item price would be displayed in item results.

For domestic shipments, shipping cost under the ‘Shipping Cost’ tab would no longer be applicable. By default, ‘free’, ‘nil’ or zero will be displayed.

Is this once again indicative of eBay’s bias towards customer? Do let us know what you feel.
