What? Amazon now accepts Listing Data in Snapdeal & Flipkart format?

A first in the aggressive ecommerce rat race- Amazon now accepts the same data formats that a seller shares with Flipkart and Snapdeal.
According to an email from Amazon to a new registered seller, the next step after registration is creating data and images for products in one of the below formats:
Option 1
- Share the data catalog (excel sheet) shared with Snapdeal, Flipkart etc.
- The Amazon team using the same to save seller’s time can create Amazon format content.
Option 2
Fill data in the simplified Amazon format.
Earlier, images also had to attached/uploaded in the Amazon format. But now even images can be uploaded via wetransfer with appropriate naming (by SKU code) and the team would again convert them as required.
Amazon’s listing format was considered slightly complicated by some sellers. In what looks like an effort to avoid sellers shying away from signing up or hesitating to sell more on its platform, such shortcuts offered by Amazon would interest more sellers- both existing and new.
