Amazon Joins Hands With MSME to Enhance Production in India

MSME minister Narayan Rane has revealed that his ministry will partner with eCommerce giant Amazon to work in sync to boost manufacturing within the country and take high-quality items to end consumers at an inexpensive value.

In response to the question asked after the launch of India ODOP (one district one product) Bazaar on the Amazon India platform, Rane said, “Amazon and MSME will collaborate efforts to transfer in the direction of progress, improve the overall manufacturing and offer good merchandise to the folks.” 

He further added that Amazon had done a lot for expanding the overall structure of the Indian economic system and committed to working hard to put the eco-structure to the self-sustainable level. Indian MSMEs play a major role in establishing the Low Cost Retail Export Channel. 

​India ODOP Bazaar is likely to provide customers quick access to regional pages and ODOP products from various districts across India to make an informed purchasing decision.​ The new concept aims to present clients' entry to restricted pages and to skim extra concerning the ODOP merchandise from numerous districts across the country while making an extra knowledgeable buying determination.

Amazon, on the other hand, considers the opportunity as means for this retailer folks to gain easy accessibility to diverse and distinctive merchandise reminiscent of Chikankari from Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh Dhokra metallic craft from Bastar, Chattisgarh, Espresso from Chikamagaluru, Karnataka, Sambalpuri Ikat from Sambalpur, Odisha, Warli Work from Sahyadri, Maharashtra and Muga Silk from Kokrajhar, Assam amongst others.
