Kraftly, the online to offline marketplace is a hit with new online sellers from tier 2 and 3 cities. It’s doing well as a platform for niche commodities. It recently launched a platform called ‘flea commerce‘ for talented online sellers. ‘Krafts in India’ is another one of its initiatives to support the handicrafts community. To further strengthen its support towards the local artisans, it has joined hands with the Ministry of textiles.
Kraftly signed a memorandum with the Development Commissioner of Handlooms from the ministry of textiles for the purpose of empowering artisans and weavers and promote handlooms. The signed memorandum allows Kraftly to sell weaver and artisan commodities directly under the ‘Indian Handloom Brand’ for authenticity.
The Indian Hnadloom Brand was launched by Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of India. The aim behind this is to encourage the sale of quality handloom products and encourage weavers and artisans to showcase their artwork for the whole country to enjoy.
The ecommerce company will be working with major weavers and groups from Uttar Pradesh, Assam, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
“We are looking forward to enabling the artisans and weavers to promote their products directly through the Kraftly platform and help in building an online presence for these sellers,” says The CEO and co-founder of Kraftly, Saahil Goel.
He also says,
“We have got the ‘Indian Handloom Brand’ and ‘Handloom Mark’ logo on our website as well, and aim to create an additional source of livelihood for the weavers and craftsmen, and further promote the dying arts and handicrafts of India.”
Kraftly even offers Infrastructural support in marketing, customer acquisition and data analytics to boost weaver and craftsmen businesses. The assistance it provides also extends to areas like packaging, payment automation, brand building, transportation and conveniently connect these sellers to the appropriate audience.
