Furniture etailer, Urban Ladder is reportedly witnessing 30% month on month growth in sales and has doubled its sales in the last quarter. One of the areas which has achieved major growth is its sale of mattresses.
“Indians have traditionally not been very conscious on investing in their sleep. However, with the changing times, this pattern is witnessing a shift. At Urban Ladder, we are taking a step ahead and investing in a team that would innovate for the Indian consumers’ needs. In our bid to make homes beautiful, we want to provide our customers the very best of comfortable living. We foresee rapid strides of growth in the sleep category,” said Prithvi Raj Tejavath, vice-president, category management, Urban Ladder.
After electronics and apparel, furniture is the next largest category in Indian ecommerce and Urban ladder aims to capitalise on this growth. Urban Ladder currently stocks over 4,000 products, across 35 categories.
After setting up operations in 19 cities it is looking to rapidly expand operations. It has now set up an assembly and delivery team in Goa. It is understood that the ticket size of customers in Goa is 3x larger than the average Urban Ladder customer.

The aesthetic sense of people in Goa is closely aligned to what we offer, making the market even more promising.
