eBay announces changes in KYC document requirement

According to PaisaPay agreement, eBay requires sellers, who receive more than Rs 50,000 through PaisaPay, to complete the Know Your Customer (KYC) verification to complete the process. In addition to the documents required previously, it is now mandatory to submit a copy of the seller’s PAN card (valid, in the name of the account holder).

So now the following documents need to be submitted for KYC verification:

  • Proof of address (POA)
  • Proof of Identification (POI)
  • PAN card of seller

In case any of the above is not submitted, the KYC verification will not be completed.

The verification is also applicable in case the bank account linked to the bank account has to be changed.
