Flipkart launches Seller Hub, dedicated mobile app for sellers

After Amazon and Snapdeal, Flipkart has now rolled out its mobile app to help online sellers to manage their businesses even when they are on the move. At a time when ecommerce is expanding and Flipkart is looking to expand its seller base, this would be a welcome introduction for all those using the ecommerce giant’s platform to sell their products.
According to a press statement, the app called Seller Hub will furnish real-time data about the following:
- Listings
- Orders
- Returns
- Payments
- Order fulfiment
"The app will offer sellers end-to-end visibility and enable them to enjoy a seamless selling experience. Focused at creating ease and convenience for sellers across the nation, this app will help sellers reach out to 45 million Flipkart customers on-the-go,” Ankit Nagori, SVP – marketplace at Flipkart, said.
However, many features are missing right now like sales rank, new product additions and direct messaging to customers. Flipkart Advantage inventory is not supported. In the coming months, Flipkart will keep adding features to the app to enable new registrations and also help existing sellers to streamline their online selling operations.
Amazon launched a dedicated seller app in March this year while Snapdeal launched one in July last year.
