Snapdeal seems to be on a tie-up roll. Earlier it has tried to get more and more small sellers on board, sometimes even at the risk of diluting its thorough verification and quality check standards.
This time as well, it has a special tie-up with online handicraft shopping portal DharaviMarket.com, which offers products made by craftsmen and artisans from the famous Dharavi Market in Mumbai. This tie-up will allow Snapdeal to showcase the products on it portal, which can reach many more prospective customers. This initiative is in line with Snapdeal’s aim of bringin several small and medium sellers and businesses on board in the next three years.
Amit Maheshwari, vice-president, Fashion, at Snapdeal explains, “Partnering with DharaviMarket.com is a Snapdeal endeavour aimed at empowering local artisans by providing a platform to promote and sell their indigenous products to a nationwide audience through a sustainable model.”
