The current seller rating and volume of sales is probably proving to be taxing for Snapdeal sellers, as they have to keep track of multiple parameters to gauge performances of various aspects. Each is equally important, so one cannot be ignored for the other.
Understanding the need for sellers to be able to focus on multiple numbers without too much difficulty in tracking, Snapdeal has announced its revised Seller Rating policy, effective 18th November 2014.
What were previously multiple numbers will now be merged into one seller rating. Calculations will be done differently, so the new rating will probably be different from the previous one. The seller panel will display both the ratings in the transition period for reference.
Once the revamp is done, any restriction would be based on the new rating. While sellers below 3.0 rating would not get any orders at all, sellers with a rating of 3.0-3.5 will get limited orders on a daily basis.
Snapdeal has introduced the latest system based on feedback from customers over time and analysis of the same. Sellers with a rating of 3 and below were found to have more dissatisfied customers. So once the rating is put into effect, sellers with such a rating would be constricted from selling.
