Youtube is undoubtedly the most popular video sharing channel on the internet on which users can upload, view and share videos. Popular with youngsters and older generation alike, it is one of those must-visit-atleast-once-a-day sites in everyone’s list. Earlier this month, Amazon started its aggressive commercial advertising with full page and banner ads in main newspapers across the country. It launched its first commercial TV campaign in India in partnership with the ongoing IPL.

Looks like Amazon is leaving no stone unturned to make sure it stays at the top. Check out its advertisement on Youtube’s home page. With the reach and popularity of Youtube, one can only imagine the visibility and reach of this one, thus reflecting Amazon’s aggressive efforts to widen customer base.


As an online seller on Amazon, you can consider the marketing spend that Amazon India is doing as your own marketing budget. All the money that Amazon is spending (and its a lot!) in advertising, will bring more and more buyers to Amazon that will in-turn translate to sales of your products on Amazon. Sure you only pay a listing fee to amazon and a shipping fee, but in return you get a lot more buyers for it right now that when they were not spending on the advertising.
