Flipkart launches large appliances segment

Flipkart has forayed into the large appliances product segment with the launch of television through its marketplace. Initially available only in Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore, this product will soon be extended to other Indian cities as well.

Currently, television brands that will be available through Flipkart are Samsung, Sony, LG, Philips, Toshiba, Panasonic and Videocon.

Customer will have the following options when buying televisions from Flipkart:

• Cash-on-delivery

• 30-day replacement policy

• In-a-day delivery

Flipkart plans to offer more value-adds to customers in time like product exchange, scheduled delivery in addition to an exhaustive buying guide.

Flipkart’s future plans

Currently, Flipkart offers more than 10 million products in over 70 product categories. Large appliances has huge scope in the online retail industry now, hence Flipkart has added the segment in its efforts to offer maximum customer delight.

With the addition of more products and verticals in the coming months, Flipkart hopes to delight customers with an extensive selection of products at competitive prices and exceptional post-order service. It also wants to associate with as many sellers as possible across India.
