Snapdeal is trying to catch all kinds of online shoppers this festive season. Besides having exchange offers and EMI programs, the etailer has started up a range of initiatives to quicken its ecommerce delivery. The new and improved delivery system is expected to maintain speed even when sales volumes rise higher than usual, the company mentions in a statement. This means sellers can sell to those travelling to distant locations during the festive season too.
In the days leading up to the battle of ecommerce marketplaces, Snapdeal and Amazon are have both shown great interest in perfecting product delivery.

Snapdeal launched 6 new logistics hubs to ramp up delivery operations. All 6 have are set up in the cities that see the most online retail demand. But, that’s not all, the etailer wants to make its delivery system so quick its competitors will never catch up.

Snapdeal has decided to provide its fastest delivery option – next delivery – to shoppers in distant locations too. This Diwali, Snapdeal sellers can deliver quickly to consumers in distant locations like Leh, Port Blair and more.
To ensure quick delivery, fast moving products have already been put through pre-shipment checks. This way these goods can be dispatched within a matter of minutes from the placement of the order. The fast moving items on Snapdeal are:
For immediate delivery of bulk bookings all across the nation around 20,000 tons of cargo will be shipped by air through Snapdeal’s logistics partners.
All of Snapdeal’s fulfilment centres will be functional 24×7. At the same time, to cater to the high product demand, product deliveries will begin from 8 am onwards and continue on till 8 pm. The etailer’s logistics team has brought on additional staff temporarily to ensure every shipment makes it to the consumer in time. Snapdeal, warehousing space has also doubled with help from Vulcan Express, Snapdeal’s subsidiary.
The festive season battle is on and Snapdeal has made all of the above arrangements to ensure nothing goes wrong during this time.
