Although the news has not been confirmed, Flipkart lately voiced big plans to invest heavily to improve its supply chain in regards to warehouse logistics and delivery team in order to tap tier 2 and tier 3 cities. MapmyIndia owns intellectual property rights to digital map data in India and recently cab service Ola cabs partnered with it to gain access to the vital treasure trove of knowledge.
“Logistics network is the biggest differentiator. A logistics network presents strong competitive advantages, which is why it will be the biggest investment area for the company,” said Binny Bansal, COO and Co-founder, Flipkart, recently.
