Top 2 female Sellers to be featured on Flipkart’s ‘Super Women’s Day’

We recently witnessed some of the leading online marketplaces such as Snapdeal, Paytm and ShopClues roll out a number of schemes ahead of International Women’s Day, which was celebrated on 8th March.

Amazon went a step further by announcing the path breaking launch of Women-Only Delivery Hubs to empower women, in a job largely associated with men. Not to be outdone, Flipkart has now launched ‘Super Women’s Day’. This a day dedicated to women each month on its platform.

Women shoppers will get the best deals in:

  • New product segments
  • Big ticket items

Women Sellers to be featured

Apart from women shoppers, women online sellers are also set to gain. The top two Flipkart Female Sellers will be featured on the platform, each month. This not only acts as an incentive for women sellers, but also provides great visibility.

“Women form an exciting part of our customer base at Flipkart. To cater to their specific needs and requirements, we have designed a unique property called ‘Super Women’s Day’. Celebrating all our super woman shoppers across the country, this new monthly initiative will provide them a special day every month to shop to their hearts content. Offering special space for women sellers, this initiative will also be a great way to help our growing base of women sellers to gain visibility on the platform,” stated Rishi Vasudev, VP, Fashion – Flipkart.
